Río Intag coffee is known around the world and in Ecuador for its special characteristics: excellent flavor, acidity, and body, with herbal qualities and exotic flavors such as peach, melon, and chocolate. These characteristics result in a cup of coffee of the highest quality. Café Río Intag is in high demand around the world.
The value-added roasted beans are sold, and the profits are divided equitably among all the producers involved. Our traditional packaging provides a prime example. These woven sacks are hand-knitted by local Intag women and dyed with natural colors derived from local plants, generating employment for more than twenty artisan women in the area. Thus in addition to being exquisite coffee, Café Río Intag does not neglect the social responsibility to our local community. We work in solidarity with members of the community, and everybody involved in producing the package of coffee is treated fairly and equally. We are a large family. Our coffee is produced at 1500 meters above sea level, which enables us to have an excellent sensory quality, intense acidity, very nice flavor, an exquisite aroma, and good body. Our member farmers are located from 600 meters above sea level to 2100 meters above sea level.
