Where are we located

The tourist destination of the Imbabura province is surrounded by the snowy mountain tops of Cotacachi, and descends towards the western coast through an uneven geography composed of high summits that descend abruptly into deep rivers, where underneath, not always visible, flow numerous waterfalls. These waterways unite in the river basin of the Intag River, a rushing river that forms part of an important river system.

The Intag area is located in the South region of the Cotacachi-Cayapas reserve, near other protected areas, in a semitropical, humid area. The population is composed of mestizo peasants, indigenous peoples and Afro-Ecuadorians who face the daily challenge of nurturing their rich ecosystem.
